Telegram tap games after the hype: what is left of five big ones

Two years ago every second friend in your feed was inviting you to "tap a coin before it is too late". Today half of those invites sit in an archive.

A few games still open tens of thousands of times a month. Here are five tap games from our catalog and an honest look at what is left of them.

How the tap game bubble popped

In 2024 the format exploded: tap the screen, collect points, invite friends, wait for a token drop. Sign-ups hit the hundreds of millions. Hamster Kombat's token launched on TON in September 2024, Catizen's CATI that month. People expected big money and got small change.

Roundups describe a sharp drop in interest. One estimate has Hamster Kombat's audience falling from about three hundred million to thirteen. Treat that carefully: online lists chase traffic and copy each other. The conclusion matches everywhere: pure tapping has run its course.

  • 📉 Tokens: rewards disappointed, and prices of tokens from similar projects have mostly sagged since.
  • 🎮 Depth: beyond the button, the games have little in them.
  • 🤖 Farming: multi-accounts and auto-clickers devalued honest players' effort.

💡 In 2026 a tap game works as a five-minute pastime, not a side income. Treat it that way and the risk stays small.

Games got more careful with promises. "Airdrop" used to be the headline, and now descriptions talk about gameplay and mention a token with caveats. Check the wording inside the bot and the project's official channel, not in retellings from chats and short videos.

Five games from the catalog

Boinkers: slots and a memecoin parody

A chaos game that mocks the memecoin race while inviting you to join it. It is free and opens as a mini app via /start.

  • 🎰 How it plays: slots and spins, with rewards depending on what lands. Friends speed up collecting, and points are tied to a future drop of the $BOINK token.
  • 👤 Fits you if you like thrill with humor. Set a limit, say ten minutes a day.
  • ⚠️ Downside: the slot mechanic hooks, so do not put in money expecting a return. Payment questions go to /paysupport.
  • 🔒 Auto-clickers break the rules and need access to your Telegram session. That is a quick way to lose the account.

Catizen: cats that merge into bigger cats

A cat game from Pluto Studio on the TON blockchain. You merge two identical pets into a higher level cat, and it earns more in-game currency.

  • 🐱 Inside:
    • two currencies: vKITTY and the premium FishCoins
    • quests, invites and clubs
  • 📌 Token story: CATI came out in September 2024, reviewers report that many players found the rewards underwhelming, and interest dipped after launch.
  • 🎯 Why open it: merging is a pleasant way to fill a couple of minutes in a queue. Do not come for income, and lower expectations at once.
  • 🔒 Wallet: connect one you use deliberately and never share the seed phrase.

Yescoin: a swipe instead of a tap

Coins fall onto the screen and you collect them with a swipe, like in fruit slicing games. Two visits a day are enough.

  • 🛠️ Setup: energy upgrades, quests, friends and a robot called YesPac that collects coins while you are away.
  • ✅ Honesty: the bot description says plainly that the YES token is not released yet. In-game coins are points, not cryptocurrency, and there is no confirmed listing date.
  • ⚠️ Traps: articles with "listing predictions" are often old texts with a refreshed date, and links saying "claim YES right now" lead to phishing.
  • 👤 Works as a light casual game and fails as an earnings plan.

Tomarket: a farm whose airdrop is over

A tomato farm, a mini game with falling tomatoes, a daily box and a tree you can "dig" for stars every six hours. These stars are internal points, not Telegram Stars, which are bought with real money.

  • ⏱️ Airdrop timeline:
    • 31 October 2024: balance snapshot
    • 20 December 2024: TOMA trading began
    • 3 January 2025: token claims closed
  • ⚠️ Scams: it is too late for a free token, and messages about an "early claim" are fraud.
  • 💸 Paid parts: medals and boosts for TON or Stars do not guarantee income.
  • 🎯 What remains: daily visits and leaderboards. Use a separate wallet without your main savings.

Hamster Kombat: GameDev, the hamster opens a studio

The famous hamster changed careers: now you run a studio that releases games. Taps, upgrade cards, daily combos, ciphers and passive income that builds for hours. By audience it is the liveliest of the five, with over three hundred thousand monthly users.

  • 🎁 Free: you can play without spending, only slower.
  • 💸 Paid part: gold bars, a premium currency bought with Telegram Stars, which means real money. Set a monthly cap, because small purchases in clickers add up.
  • 🔒 Fakes: a popular game attracts many, so launch it only from the official bot with the verification badge.
  • 📌 Verdict: the earlier HMSTR drop disappointed many, so treat GameDev as a slow economy simulator. Of the five, it is arguably the most honest in how it presents itself.

Telling a game from a wasted evening

  1. 🎮 Is there a game at all. If the whole process is one button, interest vanishes within a week.
  2. 🪙 What is said about the token. Honest projects state whether it exists, as Yescoin does. A vague "listing soon" with no date is a warning.
  3. 💸 What participation costs. Free entry is normal, while paid boosters and medals do not reliably pay off.
  4. 🔒 Who asks for data. A game never needs your seed phrase, and support never messages first.
  5. 🔗 Where the link came from. Check the official bot's username, since fakes differ by one letter.

Safety in five rules

  • Connect a separate wallet with a minimal balance.
  • Skip auto-clickers and scripts: they break the rules and take over your account access.
  • Never buy game currency from strangers in chats.
  • Pay only inside Telegram and use the payment support of the bot itself.
  • Set a timer for play time and a monthly spending cap.

⚠️ Slots, prize boxes and "luck" mechanics affect the mind more than they seem to. If you feel the pull to put in money to "win it back", close the app.

Treated as five-minute mobile games, Catizen and GameDev offer a bit more gameplay, Yescoin fits into a day most easily, and Boinkers runs on humor. None of the five promises income: the only thing you put in is time.
