iTasker: Team Tasks Inside Telegram

Mini App • Tasks & Notes

About this App

"Who is doing this and by when?" Ordinary chat drowns assignments among memes and voice notes. iTasker keeps the team's tasks inside the group chat itself, with no jump to a separate tracker ✅

The bot's motto: "Plan it. Share it. Complete it. One bot, all tasks." It works in Russian and English, and each language has its own news channel and support chat.

What the bot can do

  • /new. Creates a new task.
  • /incoming. Lists tasks coming to you.
  • /join. Joins you to the project.
  • /list. Lists all project members.
  • /timezone. Sets the project's time zone.
  • /settopic. Picks the group topic where the bot posts.
  • /feedback. Lets you send feedback to the authors.

A project running by evening

  1. Open the bot and press Start.
  2. Add it to your work group.
  3. Ask colleagues to join the project with /join.
  4. Set the time zone through /timezone.
  5. Create the first task with /new.

The project's site lists three strengths: a simple interface, shared tasks for group chats and access from any device.

Why the time zone matters more than it seems

If the team is scattered across cities, "by five in the evening" means different things. One project time zone ends arguments about when a deadline passed.

So set /timezone at the very start, before the first tasks, not after the first missed deadlines ⏰

Topic groups and a tidy feed

In a group with topics enabled you can point the bot to the right thread with /settopic. That way task messages do not interrupt the normal discussion.

Create a dedicated topic for tasks: the chat stays lively while the list of assignments lives in one place 📌

Writing tasks people finish

  • Verb first. "Prepare the estimate", not "estimate".
  • One owner. Shared responsibility often means none.
  • Deadline and outcome. What exactly counts as done.
  • Context. One line on why it is needed.

Where the bot is strong and where you need a full tracker

For a small team, a study group, volunteers or family chores the bot is enough: everyone already lives in Telegram and no extra service needs opening.

If you need Gantt charts, time tracking and complex access rights, you will want a specialized tracker. Decide by the size of your team.

The project has Russian and English news channels and two support chats. Write there for help and ideas, and the /feedback command leads to feedback right from the bot 💬
