Books and audiobooks in Telegram: read and listen in chat

What you can read and listen to

This section has more than 20 apps for people who love reading. Some work as a library: they search books by title, author or genre and show a preview. Others offer audiobooks and podcasts, such as Yourcast Bot.

There are manga readers that notify you about new chapters, children's services with audio tales, and a bot with Bible texts available from any chat.

Some services focus on one language, such as English or Chinese, so check the language of the books first.

How to choose

• Format: text, audio, comics or podcasts.
• Language and genre: check that the books you want are there.
• Terms: free access, trial, subscription, or coins for reading.
• Convenience: bookmarks, a personal library, recommendations, audio speed.

Copyright and caution

Not every book bot works legally. If a service hands out fresh bestsellers for free with no licenses, it may violate authors' rights. Paid editions and free ones released with the rights holders' permission are safer. Links inside doubtful bots sometimes lead to ads or suspicious sites, so avoid clicking them without need.

Some apps contain 18+ content: watch for labels and age limits. If a bot offers coins or bonuses for reading, remember that the reward is not guaranteed and terms can change.

How to start

Open the app page on Nidium and launch it in Telegram, with no installation. Find a book, add it to your personal shelf and continue where you stopped, on any device where your account is open.

Before paying for a subscription, use the free mode first to see whether the catalog covers your interests.

Readers short on time may prefer audiobooks and short summaries: you can listen on the way. Fans of long series will find chapter subscriptions with notifications more convenient. Compare the catalogs of several services, because each has its own strengths.

Children's libraries are worth checking by age group, so that the stories match the reader.
