About this App
Music, cloud storage, an online course, a couple of phone apps. Each subscription costs little, but together they add up to a number you would rather not see on a bank statement. Subscription Bot exists to collect them in one place so renewals stop catching you off guard.
It lives inside Telegram, so there is nothing to install. Open the chat, add what you pay for, and come back when a date gets close.
One list instead of ten emails
Subscription details are usually scattered: a receipt in your mail, a bank notification, a line in an app store settings page. The bot is a single collection point where each service has its own entry.
The PanDev team behind it describes the product simply: a bot for collecting and controlling subscriptions. The interface is in Russian.
What to write down for each subscription
Any tool you pick, the useful data is almost always the same:
- Service name. So you do not guess six months later what you are paying for.
- Amount and currency. Matters most for foreign services where exchange rates change the total.
- Next charge date. The key field for reminders.
- Billing cycle. Monthly, yearly or something else.
- Payment method. Which card is attached, so you do not hunt for it when cancelling.
A five-minute start
- Open the bot and press Start.
- List what you pay for: check your banking app and the payments section of your app store account.
- Add each one, beginning with the most expensive.
- Once a month, review the list and drop whatever you stopped using.
The first pass takes the longest. After that you only add new purchases as they appear.
Beyond personal budgets
The same idea shows up in communities. A closed music producers group, for example, asks members to subscribe through this bot to get access to events and materials. So people who pay for access to private groups may already know it.
If you run a community, ask the developers about the options. Support contact is listed in the bot description.
Habits that actually save money
A bot will not replace discipline, but it helps build it.
- Free trials. Note the end date the same day you start the trial.
- Annual plans. Cheaper than monthly, but easy to forget. A reminder a week before renewal prevents surprise charges.
- Family plans. Check if you pay separately for something you could share.
- Duplicates. Two cloud storages or two music services are more common than people expect.
Data and caution
Enter only what tracking needs: name, amount, date. Never type card numbers, passwords or SMS codes into any bot. Reminders do not require them.
If something misbehaves, write to support. The contact is in the bot description.
