Polls in Telegram: votes, quizzes and tests for chats

Why poll bots exist

Telegram has built-in polls, but they are limited. The bots in this section add timers, images, participant limits, charts and a results archive. The subsection has more than 60 apps, from simple votes to form builders.

Well known ones include Quiz Bot for quizzes, Advanced Poll Bot for group polls and Quick Form for forms and quizzes.

Types of services

• Polls and votes: a fast choice between options in a chat or channel.
• Quizzes: questions with a correct answer, scores and a timer.
• Form builders: collecting requests, questionnaires and feedback with notifications.
• Fun tests: friendship checks, joke predictions and ratings from acquaintances.

How to choose and run a poll

Define the goal first. A simple vote is enough for a quick opinion, a quiz works for teaching, and a form is best for gathering data. Check if the poll can be anonymous and if repeat votes can be blocked.

Write questions short and neutral. Offer options that do not overlap and add an other choice. Keep it brief: people answer five questions more readily than fifteen.

Things to watch for

Anonymous rating bots can hurt feelings. Because the sender is hidden, rude messages do appear. Do not post personal data and do not follow links from unknown participants.

If your poll collects contacts or answers, tell people why and do not pass the data to third parties. Votes with rewards or tokens guarantee no payouts, and results of public contests can be inflated.

To begin, open an app from the catalog, press launch and create your first poll or take a ready-made test.

For chats and communities, polls help make decisions together: choosing a meeting time, a discussion topic or a contest winner. For teachers and channel authors, quizzes make material livelier and show what the audience understood. For friends, tests are simply a fun way to spend an evening.
