About this App
Found a live set, a podcast or a lecture on YouTube and want to listen on the go, without the video and without keeping the screen on? YouTube Music Bot pulls the sound out of a clip and sends it to you as a plain audio file in Telegram. 🎧
The flow is as short as it gets: link in, file out. More than 20,000 people use the bot each month, and it speaks English and Russian.
One link, one track
- Open the bot and hit /start for a quick how-to.
- In the YouTube app, tap Share and copy the video link.
- Paste it into the chat with the bot and send it.
- Wait while the bot prepares the file, then save the audio.
If the bot replies in the wrong language, switch it with /language. ✌️
Why audio in Telegram works well
- Built-in player. Telegram plays audio on its own, with pause, seeking and background playback.
- Your own library. Forward tracks to Saved Messages or a private channel and you get a playlist on every device.
- Offline listening. Downloaded files play without a connection, on a plane or in the subway.
- Battery life. Audio alone is much easier on your phone than streaming video.
Premium, and when it makes sense
The bot has a paid mode you can buy through /premium. It shows the terms and price when you open it, so start by testing the free version on a couple of clips.
Paying is worth it if you download a lot and keep hitting the free limits. For two songs a week, free is usually plenty. 💡
When no file shows up
- Check the link. It has to point to a single video, not a channel or search results.
- Live streams. Bots like this usually cannot grab a stream that is still running. Wait for the recording.
- Very long videos. Telegram bots have a cap on file size, and a multi-hour stream may not fit.
- Restricted videos. Private or age-restricted clips cannot be downloaded.
If everything looks right and nothing comes back, resend the link in a few minutes. Your request may simply be waiting in a queue.
A straight word on copyright
YouTube's terms do not allow downloading content outside the platform's own download feature, and most music is under copyright. Keeping a file for personal listening and reposting it somewhere are two very different things. 🎼
The safe use is grabbing your own uploads, lectures, podcasts and openly licensed recordings. Do not republish other people's tracks or drop them into your own videos without permission.
