About this App
Spammers figured out long ago that a direct link in a message is too visible. Now ads and scam hooks hide in names, profile bios, linked channels and avatars. An ordinary antispam tool that reads only message text misses all of that. FRD Antispam Bot was built for the gap.
The bot is meant for moderating channels and groups and, according to its profile, works around the clock against hidden spam and raids.
Spam you cannot see in the message
The sneakiest scheme goes like this: an account posts a harmless comment such as "agreed" or "thanks", while the ad sits in its profile. A curious reader taps the name and lands in a trap.
The bot checks exactly those places rather than just message text.
- Profiles and bios: looking for ads and suspicious calls to action in the account description.
- Linked channels: checking channels attached to a profile.
- Avatars: detecting NSFW pictures and bot accounts.
Raids and floods in comments
Channels with an active audience face raids: dozens of new accounts fill the comments with identical messages at once. Cleaning that up by hand is exhausting.
The bot looks for such attacks in post discussions and reacts to floods. For channel owners it saves hours of moderation.
Prohibited topics
A separate feature targets topics banned in the community. The profile names scams, crypto, gambling and covert advertising.
If your group is about crypto, for example, tune the rules to match. Every community decides which topics are allowed.
Setup and subscription
Setup and the subscription purchase go through a separate helper bot of the project, which is listed in the profile. That means the service is paid. Check the terms and cost there before paying, as this card gives no figures.
Pay after a trial check. Make sure the bot sees your channel's comments and does not delete more than it should.
Channels with comments have a catch: the discussion lives in a separate linked group, so the bot must be there with the right permissions. If you add it only to the channel itself, comments stay unprotected. Check this right after setup and post a test comment from a fresh account.
Preparing your chat
- Work out where the spam lives: comments, the main group or both.
- Add the bot and grant rights to delete messages and restrict members.
- Test how it treats regular users.
- Post your rules in a pinned message so members understand why blocks happen.
What to expect from automatic protection
No bot promises perfect accuracy. Sometimes a real person gets flagged because their profile carries a harmless link to a personal blog. Leave members a way to contact the admins and appeal a block.
Good moderation has three layers: rules, automation and live admins. The bot covers the middle layer but does not replace the others.
If you run a large channel, read the trigger log once a week. It quickly shows which schemes hit you most often, so you can refine your rules.
