A link instead of extra apps

Saving a clip usually means an ad-heavy website or a program on a computer. Here you open a chat with the bot and paste the address of the post.

The bot sends back a video, an audio track or a photo, depending on what the link points to. The file size is capped at 50 MB, which matters for longer videos.

The 50 MB limit in practice

Short clips, stories, vertical videos and music tracks usually fit. Hour long stream recordings and high quality films will probably not.

Choosing the right format

For video, the shorter the clip, the better the odds of getting it whole. Vertical clips from short video feeds and stories usually fit within the limit without trouble. 🎬

If the bot cannot open a link, check that the post is public and has not been deleted by its author. Downloaders cannot see closed accounts or private posts, which is the right outcome for privacy.

Copy the link with the Share button inside the social app rather than from an address bar full of extra parameters. That lowers the chance of an error.

The bot has a Premium section. What it includes and what it costs is shown inside the bot with the /premium command. Never type bank card details into a conversation: payment should go only through Telegram's own official payment windows.

Other people's rights and your safety

Downloading a clip for personal viewing is usually acceptable, but spreading it without the author's consent is not. Copyright and platform rules still apply, and responsibility for what you do rests with you.

1. Do not repost other people's videos as your own.
2. Do not send the bot links to private or closed posts.
3. Never enter social network passwords or codes: a link download needs neither.
4. Check the bot's name, because popular downloaders have many copies.
