Magic Robot: 8ball in Telegram

Arguing in a group chat about where to go tonight and nobody can decide? Magic Robot shakes a magic ball and gives you an answer in a second. It is a simple Telegram bot with a classic 8-ball and a set of mini games.

The bot speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian. No sign-up and no setup. 🔮

How the ball works

Ask a question that can be answered with yes or no and send the /8ball command. The bot shakes the ball and returns a reply.

The idea comes from the Magic 8 Ball toy, popular since the middle of the last century. The original ball holds twenty answers: ten positive, five vague and five negative.

Every command

• /8ball. Shake the ball and get an answer.
• /yn. A quick yes or no.
• /emoji. A random emoji.
• /dice. Roll a die.
• /darts. A darts mini game.
• /slotmachine. A slot machine, just for fun.
• /bowling. A bowling mini game.
• /football. Penalty kicks.
• /basketball. A shot at the hoop.

Mini games with no money and no prizes

Darts, bowling, football, basketball and the slot machine use animated Telegram emoji. The result is random, and there are no cash payouts or prizes.

They are a way to fill a pause or to compete with friends over who knocks down more pins. 🎯

Three ways to use it with friends

1. Settle an argument. Send /yn when there are two options, and agree to accept the answer in advance.
2. Set the order. The die tells who goes first.
3. Run a tournament. Everyone throws a ball, and the winner picks the movie.

The key is that everyone agrees on the rules first. Then the bot's answer causes no hard feelings. 😄

Choosing a language

The bot understands English, Russian and Ukrainian. If replies come in the wrong language, switch it with the bot's language command and carry on.

The ball's answers stay random either way. The language changes only the wording.

Do not trust the ball with serious decisions

The ball is entertainment, not an adviser. It answers at random and knows nothing about you or your situation.

Decisions about health, money and relationships call for facts and real conversations. Here is a handy trick: if the ball's answer disappoints you, you already know what you really want. 💡

Who Magic Robot is for

People who like light entertainment, chat hosts and groups that need a quick draw. It also works for lightening the mood in a work chat.

If you need a serious decision tool, write a list of pros and cons instead. For fun, the ball is great. ✅
