GigaTap VPN: get around blocks in two taps

Mini App • VPN & Privacy

About this App

One protocol works today, gets throttled tomorrow, and the day after your mobile network only lets a handful of approved sites through. GigaTap VPN bundles several connection methods into one subscription and tells you which one to reach for when the network acts up. 🔮

The service has lived in Telegram since early 2025. You sign in with Telegram, no forms, and get an account area in the bot and Mini App plus reminders before your plan runs out. The team posts updates in Russian and English.

A protocol for every kind of network

  • VLESS Reality. The default profile for most people, disguised as ordinary encrypted traffic.
  • Hysteria2. The fallback when your current route is slowed down or blocked.
  • AmneziaWG. For a WireGuard-style connection with protection against detection.
  • MTProto. A proxy just for Telegram itself, set in Telegram settings.
  • Test modes. Trojan and Shadowsocks 2022 are in testing, and there is a Tor bridge generator for emergencies.

Its own client, plus backups

GigaTap has a first-party app built on Xray-core and sing-box, with smart server selection and a kill switch. It is available for Android, Windows and Linux, with macOS and iOS planned. 💻

Where there is no first-party client yet, the service docs point to compatible apps: Happ, Hiddify, Streisand on iOS or NekoBox on Android. For AmneziaWG, use the official clients for that protocol.

Getting connected

  1. Open the bot or Mini App and sign in with Telegram.
  2. Copy your subscription link from the VPN section.
  3. Import it into the GigaTap client or a compatible app.
  4. Refresh the server list and connect. Start with VLESS Reality and switch to Hysteria2 if it struggles.

Checking it worked is easy: once connected, your public IP should differ from your ISP address and sites should load without DNS errors. ✅

Price, trial and payment

Plans in the bot are flexible, from one day up to 12 months, and renewing does not drop your connection. The project landing page lists the standard plan at 1.49 USD a month with 15 locations and unlimited devices and traffic.

There is a trial too: in 2025 every user could get 30 days with a 50 GB cap. You pay with Telegram Stars or crypto. Multiple devices can connect in parallel, though a separate profile per device is more stable. 💫

When everything breaks

GigaTap has moved to new infrastructure several times, and after each move old links eventually stop working. So the first fix for any problem is to grab a fresh link in the bot and re-import your profile.

For the harshest restrictions the bot has an RU Config section with public subscriptions for whitelist and blacklist modes. The team itself warns that these are third-party configs, slower and unsafe for daily use, so treat them as an emergency exit only. ⚠️

A nice bonus is the project library of articles on DNS leaks, multihop and how censors detect servers. Check the service terms for its VPN logging policy, as there is no independent audit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does GigaTap VPN cost?▼
Plans in the bot run from one day to 12 months, and the project landing page lists the standard plan at 1.49 USD a month with 15 locations plus unlimited devices and traffic. You pay with Telegram Stars or crypto. A trial exists too: in 2025 it was 30 days with 50 GB.
How do I set up GigaTap on an iPhone?▼
There is no first-party iOS client yet, so install Happ, Hiddify or Streisand. Copy your subscription link from the VPN section of the bot or Mini App and import it into the app. Refresh the server list and connect, starting with the VLESS Reality profile.
What if the VPN stops connecting?▼
Get a new link from the bot and re-import your profile, because old links stop working after infrastructure moves. Then try another server or the Hysteria2 profile. If that fails, message the support bot with your platform, app version and what exactly is broken.
Are the RU subscriptions in the bot safe to use?▼
Only as an emergency option when the main service cannot get through restrictions. They are free public configs on third-party servers that the GigaTap team does not control, and the team itself advises against using them all the time. Avoid entering important passwords over them.
