Photozai: AI Photo Editing in Chat

The photo is almost good, but a stranger lurks in the background and the resolution is too low for a print. Photozai handles little things like that right in a Telegram chat, with no photo editor to install 🪄

The bot calls itself a personal AI photo assistant. It has around six hundred users so far, and its commands cover the four most common jobs.

Four commands for most situations

• /gen. Generates an image from a text description.
• /edit. Edits an uploaded photo by description: you say in words what to change.
• /upscale. Raises the resolution of a picture.
• /remove_bg. Cuts out the background so only the subject remains.

Two utility commands: /balance shows what you have left (a carrot icon sits next to it) and /cancel stops the current operation.

Getting a first result

1. Press Start and pick a command.
2. For an edit or upscale send a photo, for generation type a description.
3. Wait for the finished image in the chat.
4. If you change your mind midway, send /cancel.

Writing prompts that land the first time

Be specific: what is in the picture, in which style, under what light. "Girl on a rooftop, sunset, film grain" beats "a nice photo".

When editing, ask for one change at a time. Remove the extra object first, then change the sky color. The network breaks the rest of the image less often that way 🎨

When background removal pays off

Product cards, avatars, stickers and collages. Once the subject is cut out, you can place it on any other background in your usual editor.

Upscaling helps with old pictures and screenshots. Do not expect miracles though: if detail is wiped out of the original, the network invents it instead of recovering it.

Ideas to start with

• Avatar. Generate a portrait in the style you want and sharpen it with upscale.
• Listing. Cut out a product and place it on a clean background.
• Greeting card. Describe a scene and get an illustration.
• Family archive. Enlarge an old picture before printing.

Save each result right away: in a chat they sink among the messages over time 📂

Balance and spending

The bot has a balance and a command to check it, so operations spend internal units. How much each costs and how to top up is shown in the chat before your first payment.

Do not pay until you understand what the payment covers. Start with a small amount and check the result.

Rules for other people's photos

• Consent. Do not upload pictures of people without their permission.
• Private data. Documents and photos showing your home address are better kept out.
• Fakes. Edited faces and scenes can mislead viewers, so do not pass the result off as real footage.
