YouHold: hold the button, stack points

In spring and summer 2024 Telegram was flooded with mini games that promised points for a simple action, then tokens and payouts later. YouHold comes from that wave. Its motto is short: just hold and earn. 🎮

The game opens in Telegram as a mini app. A crypto exchange's Telegram app directory files it under games from the TON ecosystem (The Open League) and shows a 4.7 rating from about a hundred reviews.

Half a million sign-ups, almost nobody left

The numbers tell the story. Around 482 thousand people have started the bot, yet monthly active users are down to a few dozen. That is the usual arc for tap games: explosive growth on airdrop hopes, then silence.

No YouHold token has launched. Your points do not convert into anything right now, and nothing guarantees they ever will. ⚠️

How tap and hold games work

• Points for an action. You tap or hold a button and a counter goes up.
• Tasks. Join channels, invite friends, check in daily.
• An airdrop promise. Someday points become tokens you can sell.
• Referrals. More invited friends means faster points.

For the project, players are an audience to show investors and advertisers. For players, the value only appears if a token really ships and people want to buy it.

The risks in plain terms

• The token may never come. Plenty of projects never reach a listing.
• Prices often crash after listing, because everyone who got tokens sells at once.
• Fake payouts. Scammers clone popular games and ask you to connect a wallet or pay a withdrawal fee.
• Your time. Hours of tapping are usually worth more than the eventual airdrop.

If you still want to play

1. Do not spend money. No paid boosts, no account activation for crypto.
2. Keep your main wallet away from little known apps.
3. Never type your seed phrase anywhere except your wallet app. No honest game asks for it.
4. Follow news only in official channels, not in comments or private messages.

One more red flag: if a so-called project admin messages you first offering a faster withdrawal, it is almost certainly a scam. Real teams do not cold message players.
