A Mini App is a web app that Telegram opens inside itself. It behaves the same on phones and desktop, and updates arrive instantly with nothing to download.

On launch the app receives basic profile data: your name, username and interface language. Telegram does not hand over your phone number. You would have to share it yourself by confirming a separate request. 🔒

Keep an eye out for copycats

Popular Telegram projects attract imitators who clone the name and the icon. Check the exact bot username before you pay for anything or type in personal data.

• Use official support only. An 'admin' who messages you first and asks for a transfer is almost certainly a scammer.
