Toadbot: raise a toad with your friends

Every group chat hits a dead spot where nobody posts anything. Toadbot fixes that by giving everyone a pet toad to feed, raise and send into battle 🐸

It is a tamagotchi with light MMORPG mechanics, built to live inside chats. Around 34,000 people use it, and you play by typing plain phrases instead of tapping through menus. Most commands are in Russian.

Your toad is hungry, again

You start by typing the phrase for take a toad. The bot hands you a random toad with a level, a hunger bar, a mood and health points.

• My toad opens a profile card with all its stats.
• Feed the toad raises fullness and pays you a few bugs, the in game currency.
• Force feed is available once every 4 hours and gives a bigger boost for 500 bugs.
• Name the toad lets you rename it, and the first rename is free.

One rule matters more than the rest. If you skip feeding for over a month, your toad dies, and bringing it back costs resources.

Weddings, toadlets and gangs

The social side is where the fun really kicks in. You can marry a friend from the chat and have a toadlet together, which also needs food and attention 💍

Toadlets can be sent into scraps with other toadlets, and their authority score decides who wins. Players can also form named gangs. Seasonal events add things like a school for toadlets or valentines on February 14.

Arena fights and boss dungeons

Once your toad grows up, combat opens. The arena works across chats, so your toad fights pets from completely different groups ⚔️

For team play there are PvE dungeon runs against bosses. Leveling and your combat class matter here, and the /battle_settings command lets you tune how fights go.

Getting started in five minutes

1. Add the bot to a group chat or message it privately.
2. Take a toad with the start phrase or the /take_toad command.
3. Check /daily_quests so you do not miss daily rewards.
4. Turn on reminders with /toad_notifications so your pet never starves.
5. Bring your friends, since marriage and dungeon runs need other players.

What it costs

The game is free to play. The /donate command sells perks, such as feeding your toad more often. Purchases inside Telegram bots are now paid in Telegram Stars ⭐

Play for a week before spending anything. Paid perks speed things up, but the chat fun works fine without them.
