How it works

Anonymity and its limits

In a roulette bot your partner sees only what you write. That is handy: you can be more honest than in a regular introduction. But anonymity is relative. You do not know who is on the other end, and they may not tell you the truth about themselves either.

• Do not give a surname, address, workplace or school in early conversations.
• Do not send explicit photos. They are easy to save and use against you.
• Do not send money to someone you only know from a chat. It is a classic fraud scheme.
• Do not open links from a partner: that is how malware and scam pages spread.

If something goes wrong

Rudeness happens in anonymous chats. Do not engage, stop the dialog with /stop and search again. If a partner threatens or blackmails you, stop writing, keep screenshots and contact the bot's support or law enforcement.
