SwaperFace: swap a face in a minute

Ever wanted to see yourself as a movie hero, or trade faces with a friend in a group photo? SwaperFace does that in Telegram. You upload your pictures, wait a bit and get back an image where one person's face sits on someone else. 🎭

There is no separate app and no sign-up. About 15,000 people use the bot each month, and the project runs its own news channel.

What the AI is actually doing

The technique is called face swap. A model finds the face in your source photo, reads its features and maps them onto the face in the target image, matching lighting, head angle and expression.

Video is harder because the same work has to happen for every frame. That is why a clip takes longer to process and costs more than a photo.

Three steps to a result

1. Start the bot and accept the user agreement.
2. Send a photo of the face you want to move.
3. Send the target photo or video where that face should go, then wait for the finished file.

Getting a clean swap 📸

• Close-up, facing the camera. Side profiles, glasses and hair over the eyes confuse the model.
• Even lighting. Harsh shadows on the source turn into odd patches.
• Similar angles. If one head is straight and the other sharply turned, the seam will show.
• One face per frame. In group shots the bot may pick the wrong person.

Coins and free tries

Processing is paid with in-app coins. You get a few tries for free, and the project's channel posts promo codes for extra coins from time to time. 🪙

Bots like this move around a lot. The project has already released several numbered versions under new usernames. Do not stock up on coins far in advance, and follow the official channel for news.

The line you should not cross ⚠️

Face swapping is fun when everyone is in on it. Using other people's photos without asking is where trouble starts, including legal trouble.

• Consent first. Use your own face or faces of people who clearly agreed.
• No intimate content involving real people. In many countries making or sharing such deepfakes is a crime.
• No deception. Faking images for blackmail, defamation or forged documents is illegal.
• Never upload photos of children or anyone under 18.

The service is for adults: the bot asks you to confirm you are 18 or older before you start. Also remember that your uploads go to someone else's server, and you have no say in how long they stay there.
