About this App
Your group hops on a voice chat, and someone wants music. Screen sharing sounds awful, and nobody wants to be the DJ who keeps unmuting. 🎧 Resso Music handles it: add the bot to the group, type /play with a song name, and everyone in the call hears it.
The bot is built for group chats and styled for Indian Telegram communities. Next to the music commands you will find fun extras like a random couple of the day and Hindi shayari tags. Around 46,000 people use it every month.
The music side
- /play streams audio into the group voice chat by song title.
- /vplay streams a video clip into the call.
- /song sends the track as an MP3 file you can keep.
- /video downloads the video version of a song.
- /ping checks that the bot is alive and how fast it answers.
Bots like this work the same way under the hood. The bot itself does not join the call. A linked assistant account does, so you will see one extra participant in the voice chat list. That is expected.
Setup in your group
- Add the bot. Tap Open, then choose to add it to a group.
- Make it an admin. It needs permission to manage voice chats and invite users, or the assistant cannot get in.
- Start a voice chat. The music needs a live call to play into.
- Send /play and a title. The track starts within a few seconds.
If a command does nothing, check admin rights before anything else. That is the usual culprit.
Party tricks for the chat 🎉
The other half of the command list is about group life. /tagall and /utag mention every member, and /vctag invites people into the voice chat. /couples picks a random pair of the day, while /shayari, /hitag and /lifetg post tags with short poems and quotes.
A few utilities round it out. /image searches pictures, /draw generates an image from a prompt, /carbon turns text into a neat code screenshot, /info shows user details and /git looks up a developer profile.
Things to keep in mind
Mass mentions are handy for announcements and annoying when overused. In large groups, keep /tagall for admins so members do not start leaving. 🙂
Resso Music runs on open-source code shared by hundreds of similar bots. It costs nothing, but uptime depends on the owner's server, so expect the odd restart or slow reply. Grant only the admin rights the music features need.
