About this App
The contract weighs twenty megabytes and will not fit in an email, ten scans must become one file, and a few pages need cutting before you send it. PDF Toolkit Bot handles all of that right in Telegram, with no software to install. 📄
You upload a PDF into the chat and pick an action. The bot processes the file and sends the result back into the conversation.
Seven operations at hand
The bot's description lists the jobs it was made for.
- Compress. Shrinks a heavy file, a scan for example.
- Merge. Gathers several PDFs into one document.
- Split. Cuts a file into parts or pulls out the pages you need.
- Rotate. Fixes pages scanned sideways.
- Watermark. Stamps a mark on the pages.
- Extract text. Pulls the text out of a document.
- Convert to images. Turns pages into pictures.
The /help command shows the full list of commands.
What happens to your files
With documents, privacy matters more than speed. The bot's description says files are deleted 10 minutes after processing.
That is a good sign, but no reason to upload everything. 🔒 Passports, contracts with personal data and bank statements are better handled on your own computer. Any cloud service still receives your file while it works.
Five steps to a finished document
- Send the bot a PDF file as in a normal chat.
- Choose an operation from the buttons.
- For merging, send the files in the order they should appear.
- Wait for the reply and download the result.
- Open it and check the pages before sending it on.
Checking matters most after compression: if an image turned blurry, try again with another file or keep the original.
Compressing without losing legibility
PDF size is almost always set by images, not text. High-resolution scans weigh tens of megabytes even though on screen they look like ordinary pages.
Compression re-saves images at lower quality. For email that is enough. For printing and fine print, keep the original and send the compressed copy separately. ✂️
Text from PDFs and pages as pictures
Text extraction helps when you need a quote or a paragraph from a document. If a page was scanned as an image, it has no text layer, and the result may come out empty or incomplete.
Converting to images is handy for presentations, posts and messengers where a PDF opens awkwardly. A page becomes an ordinary picture that is easy to forward. 🖼
A watermark helps mark a draft or discourage careless reuse of a document. It is no replacement for real protection, but it keeps recipients disciplined.
Who will use it
- Students. Glue lab reports together and cut out a cover page.
- People submitting documents. Fit a website's file size limit.
- Accountants and managers. Quickly assemble a package from several files.
- Anyone reading on a phone. Pull out the text or turn a page into an image.
The bot is new and has few users so far. That does not stop it from covering everyday PDF jobs, but for important documents keep a copy of the original.
