ChatroomRu: Chat Roulette

A chat roulette works on one principle: you never know who you will get. ChatroomRu calls itself an anonymous chat roulette for friends and dates. You press a button, the bot picks a random person, and a dialog begins. No questionnaires in advance. 🎲

Commands worth remembering

Control in the bot is built around command hints. There are a few main ones, and each does its own job.

• /search. Starts looking for a partner right away.
• /next. Ends the current dialog and looks for the next person.
• /profile. Lets you edit your own details.
• /sharelink. Sends a link to your profile if you want to keep talking in another format.
• /referals. Helps you invite friends.

Why people come to a roulette

There are several reasons. Some want a few minutes of chatter before bed, some look for new friends, and some hope for an acquaintance that grows into something more.

Different expectations mean different behavior from partners. That is normal, and it is better to say up front what you want from the talk.

Not wasting your evening

In a roulette, the first message decides everything. A bare "hi" with no follow-up usually ends in silence.

1. Start with a question. About interests, music, trips, or tonight's plans.
2. Answer in full. One-word replies kill a conversation fastest.
3. Do not hold on to a bad dialog. If it is not clicking, press /next.
4. Set your limits. If the talk turns unpleasant, end it at once.

What anonymity hides

Anonymity runs both ways. You cannot see who writes to you, and your partner, like you, can claim to be anyone. Age, name, and intentions are not checked in a roulette.

So do not tell people here anything that could be used against you: address, workplace or school, habits, schedule. 🙂

Precautions

• Profile link. Send /sharelink only to people you trust. After that, you can be found.
• Offers to "move somewhere else". Strangers often invite you to outside channels full of ads and scammers.
• Requests for money. No transfers and no codes from messages.
• Photos and video. Do not send personal pictures, because you cannot take them back.

If you are under 18, be especially careful with chats like this and talk to someone you trust if a conversation worries you. Any uncomfortable dialog can be ended with /next.

Who it suits

A roulette suits fans of spontaneous talk. It does not replace dating based on shared interests, where you see a person beforehand, but it gives you a live conversation right now.

Go in without big expectations and with a time limit. If half an hour brings nobody interesting, close the chat and come back another day, since the mix of partners is different every time.
