BFG: a Telegram game bot for chats

The group chat has gone quiet and nobody wants to invent a topic. BFG fixes that with a game: you grow a character, collect property and compete with other players right inside a group chat.

BFG has been around for a long time, has a large Russian-speaking audience, and its developers announce updates ahead of time in their news channel.

A game with a house, a car and a business

This is a "life in numbers" game bot: you have an in-game currency and spend it on things that you then develop. According to the developers' announcements, these directions exist in the game:

You can play in private messages or in a group chat. If you have never launched the bot, open it in a private message and press Start or Restart.

1. Launch the bot with /start.
2. Open help with /help and read the command list.
3. Add the bot to a chat with friends if you want to play together.
4. Visit the official chats. The word «Чаты» sent to the bot returns their links.

Official chats host in-game events such as boss fights. During those the bot may not answer the attack command, but it still registers your hit. 🎮

Currency, donations and fair play

You earn in-game currency by playing, and part of it is sold for real money through the «Донат» command. The developers state plainly that players may not buy or sell currency to each other, and scamming leads to a ban.

The rule is sensible: it protects you from resellers who take money and vanish. Pay only through the command inside the bot itself. 💳

One more detail: the developers sometimes hide currency promo codes in the official chats. Follow the updates, and distrust outside "giveaways" that ask you to log in somewhere or type in data.

Watch out for copies

Popular bots always attract clones. The BFG team warns players not to follow ads for imitation bots, since doing so can bring a penalty.

Make sure you launch the original: compare the name with the one given in the official chats and the news channel, and never enter payment details into a doubtful bot.

What to consider before you get hooked

A game with donations pulls people in easily. Decide in advance how much you are willing to spend and do not top up on impulse. If you are a teenager, talk through donations with your parents, because payments for game currency are not refundable.

The in-game currency lives only inside the bot. It has nothing to do with real money or cryptocurrency, and it cannot be withdrawn unless the rules say otherwise. ⚠️
