AtocuProxy: proxy for Telegram

Proxy or VPN: the difference

What you risk

A proxy sees that you connect to Telegram, and some types may see more. Private chat content is encrypted by the messenger itself, but the server's owner knows your IP address and connection times. ⚠️

• Unknown owner. Free proxies from random people are often built to collect data.
• Pay carefully. Begin with a short plan and test speed in the evening.
• No passwords. A proxy never needs your Telegram login code or secret phrases.
• Instability. A crowded server slows down. That is normal for any proxy.

If it stops working

First check that the details are not outdated, since proxies sometimes change address or key. Request a fresh link from the bot with /start and add it again. 🔁

Removing old proxies in settings also helps, because two active ones can conflict. If nothing works, write to the service's support.

Who needs a proxy and who needs a VPN

If you need only Telegram, a proxy is simpler and faster. If you need sites and other apps, a VPN is better. Some people use both, and they do not interfere when set up properly.
