Memgift: gifts that make people laugh

A birthday card with a cat is nice, but predictable. A meme only the two of you get will be remembered far longer. Memgift builds a whole mini app around that idea: it lets you send gifts styled as memes. 🎁

Everything happens inside Telegram, with nothing to download. Pick a meme gift from the catalog or make your own, and send it to a friend, a group chat or even a channel.

Who to send it to, and when

• A friend in DMs. A birthday, a promotion, a passed exam or just a rough Monday.
• A group chat. Congratulate a coworker in a way that makes everyone smile.
• A channel. Creators can treat subscribers to a holiday meme or celebrate a milestone.
• No reason at all. Sometimes a funny picture at the right moment beats a long message. 😄

Ready-made or your own

The catalog holds ready meme gifts you can send in a couple of taps. For something more personal, Memgift lets you create your own gift with your own caption.

A tip from seasoned meme makers: the best meme gift rests on shared history. Your group's inside joke, something your friend said last week, the cat's nickname. The sharper the reference, the bigger the reaction.

Sending a gift

1. Open the mini app from the button in the bot.
2. Pick a gift from the catalog or start making your own.
3. Add text if you want to sign it.
4. Choose the recipient: a contact, a group or a channel.
5. Send it and wait for the reaction. 🎉

How it differs from official Telegram gifts

Telegram has built-in gifts bought with Telegram Stars that show up on the recipient's profile, and some can be upgraded into collectible NFTs.

Memgift is a separate service with its own catalog and style. Its gifts lean on humor rather than rarity. Before paying for anything in the app, make sure you understand what the recipient actually gets and where the gift will appear.

A bit of meme etiquette

• Know your audience. What kills in a friends' chat may flop in a work group.
• Avoid sore spots. A meme about someone's looks or failures can quickly turn from joke to insult.
• Respect copyright. If you make a meme for a channel with ads, use images you have rights to.
• Do not spam. One well-aimed gift beats ten random ones.

The project posts news, new meme gifts and giveaways in its channel, and support is listed in the bot profile. If a gift did not arrive or something broke, start with support. 💌
