MeTGbot: A Three-Language Bot

Found a Telegram bot with a shield in its name and three languages in its description, and not sure what to expect? MeTGbot works in Uzbek, Russian and English. The languages are listed right in the description: UZ, RU, EN 🌍

A three-language interface helps in families and teams where people speak different languages. You pick the language inside the bot and can change it at any time.

How a Telegram bot works at all

A bot is an ordinary account run by a program on someone else's server. You send a message, the server processes it and sends a reply. No phone number is needed to create a bot, so they are built quickly and in large numbers.

It follows that a bot's quality depends on who maintains the server and how. Good bots get updates, reply quickly and do not ask for extras. Abandoned ones eventually stop answering altogether 🧩

A useful habit: if a bot proved handy, pin the chat or save it so you do not have to search for it again.

Any bot receives your name, username and account ID when you chat with it. It learns your phone number only if you tap the share contact button yourself.

Do not send a bot passwords, SMS codes or photos of documents unless you are sure about its owner 🔐

Signs a bot is not for you

• It asks for login codes or passwords from other services.
• It demands payment before showing anything.
• It promises easy money with no conditions.
• It sends links to outside sites that collect your data.

If you notice any of this, just stop the bot and block it in the chat settings.

Reporting problems

If the bot misbehaves, first restart it with /start and update Telegram. Then look for a support contact in the description or menu and describe the problem briefly: what you tapped and what you got 🙂
