If you rent out a room, your job is to look clear and honest. Say what the price includes, and whether there is a private entrance, hot water, air conditioning, or internet.

Add real photos and the exact area. Extra charges for linens or cleaning are best named up front, since guests value directness. 🛏️

Checking a place before you pay

Looking for lodging in chats and bots always carries risk. Scammers like to post pretty photos and ask for a prepayment.

• Do not wire money blind. If a deposit is needed, view the place on a video call first.
• Verify the address. Find the building on a map and make sure the photos match.
• Ask for details. A real host easily answers about neighbors, transport, and house rules.
• Pay in parts. Hand over the remainder at check-in.

Staying safe on arrival

When you get there, test the locks, windows, water, and power. Photograph the condition of the place so you do not argue about damage later.

Keep your messages: if a dispute arises, they become your evidence. Do not send your passport unless needed, and never share SMS codes. ⚠️
