Svetlana: the ESPlus utility assistant

Bot • Local Services

About this App

It is the end of the month, new numbers are on the meter, and nobody picks up the hotline. Svetlana, the virtual assistant of ESPlus utility company, accepts readings right in Telegram, so you do not have to wait for an operator. ⚡

The bot works around the clock. It knows answers about bills, meters and more, as its description says.

Who needs Svetlana

The bot is built for customers of the energy sales company: residents of houses and apartments who receive bills from ESPlus. If you pay another organization, you will not find your data here.

The project launched in several Russian regions and then expanded. Check the list of territories on your branch's website. 🗺️

What the assistant does

  • Accepts readings. From electricity meters and other resources the company serves.
  • Answers questions. About bills, your personal account and the state of metering devices.
  • Takes requests. Complaints and suggestions can be left in the chat.
  • Works without days off. Answers are available at night and on holidays.

The menu has no commands: communication goes through ordinary messages and buttons. 💬

Submitting readings in a couple of minutes

  1. Find the bot and press Start.
  2. Choose the meter reading submission item.
  3. Type your personal account number from the bill.
  4. Enter the digits as shown on the meter display.
  5. Wait for the confirmation and keep it in the chat.

Check the digits against the display once more before sending. An extra zero or swapped places leads to a wrong charge.

When to submit the numbers

Deadlines differ by branch. Readings are usually accepted on certain days of the month, and the last day is printed on the bill. 📅

If you miss the deadline, the charge may be calculated from average consumption. You will then have to ask for a recalculation, so set a reminder in your calendar.

Security and personal data

The bot asks only for data needed for the job: the account number and readings. Do not send passport details, passwords, SMS codes or card numbers into the chat. 🔒

Beware of fake pages and scammers who pose as utility employees. Pay bills only using details from the official bill and through trusted methods.

When you need a live person

A virtual assistant handles routine tasks. For complex cases, such as recalculations, debt disputes or meter replacement, go to your branch's customer service center.

Bring the bill, the owner's passport details and the documents for the meter. That way the issue is solved faster. 📄
