Download a video by link

Two seconds instead of extra software

People usually install a separate app or hunt for a website full of ads. Here everything happens in the chat: paste a link, wait, get a file.

It is handy on a phone, where you may not want to install more. You can save the file to your gallery or forward it to a friend.

The playlist and popular songs suggest that the bot also works with audio, but video is its main job.

How to download a clip

1. Copy the link to the video from the app or the browser.
2. Open the bot and send /start.
3. Paste the link and send it to the chat.
4. Wait for the file. The longer the clip, the longer it takes.

If the bot does not respond, check that the link is complete, with no extra characters. Sometimes sending it again helps.

What affects the result

Telegram limits the size of files you can send, so very long or heavy videos may not arrive in full. For those, choose shorter clips or lower quality.

• Size. Large files may fail to load.
• Quality. The bot gives what it could fetch, which is not always the maximum.
• Availability. Private and deleted clips cannot be downloaded.
• Load. At peak hours replies come slower.

When it helps most

Free up storage in advance. Videos take more space than you expect, especially if you download several clips in a row.

Is it legal

Downloading for personal viewing and downloading someone's content to publish are different things. Video platform rules usually forbid downloading without permission, and copyright protects the author.

A safe choice: save your own clips, material with an open license and whatever the author allowed. Do not post other people's work under your name.

Staying safe

• Links. Send the bot only video links, never passwords.
• Files. Do not open unknown archives that arrive in reply.
• Lookalikes. Downloaders have many similar names, so verify the exact handle.
• Stability. Third-party bots can vanish, so keep copies of what matters.

If the bot stops working, that is no reason to look for dubious cracked versions. Use the official features of the platform where they exist.
