Save As Bot: download by link

You spot a post with a video you want to keep, and there is no download button. Save As Bot fixes that small but common annoyance: you send a link and the bot sends the file back. 📥

No ad-packed websites, no apps to install. Everything happens in an ordinary chat.

What comes back

According to the bot's own description, it pulls out the contents of a publication so you can save them and use them later.

• Photos from a post.
• Videos from a publication.
• Carousels, meaning slideshows of several frames.
• Stories from public pages.
• Text of the post, such as a caption under a photo.

Thirty seconds, start to finish

1. Press Start. The /start command restarts the bot if it gets stuck.
2. Copy the link to the post using the Share menu in the social network app.
3. Send it to the bot as one message with no extra text.
4. Receive the files and save them to your gallery or Telegram favorites.

If it fails the first time, check that the link is complete and points to a public post.

Why millions use it

Bot catalogs list about four million monthly users. For a downloader that is plausible: the task is clear, almost everyone needs it now and then, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Popularity is not a guarantee, though. Pick the bot by its exact username, because downloaders have many lookalikes with similar names. ⚠️

A link, not a hack

Bots like this work only with what is open to everyone. A private account, a personal chat or a hidden story cannot be fetched by link, and that is how it should be.

If the post was deleted or the author restricted access, the bot simply returns nothing.

Other people's content, your responsibility

Downloading a file is technically easy, but the rights stay with the author. Saving it for yourself, for an archive or to send to a friend rarely causes trouble.

Re-uploading someone's video as your own is a different story. It can bring a complaint, a ban or a legal claim. If you use material publicly, credit the author and ask permission. 🙂

The bot has a /donate command for voluntary support. Nothing in its description says payment is required, and questions about how it works go through the contact listed in its profile.

Never send anyone your social network passwords. Downloading from a public link does not need them, and anyone who asks wants your account, not a file.
