Sglypa: A Bot That Learns Your Chat

The chat is quiet, the jokes have dried up, and you need someone to wake the group up. Sglypa takes that on herself: she reads what members write and builds her own messages from it. Sometimes funny, sometimes odd, and now and then completely off.

The bot has around 45 thousand users in Telegram and is long known as entertainment for group chats.

A bot with a short memory

Her authors describe Sglypa as curious but forgetful. When she lands in a new chat, she starts learning from zero. Every message she writes is based on what people say in that conversation.

In a small silent chat she will say little and make little sense, while in a talkative group she soon becomes one of them and starts hitting the right tone 😄.

Commands worth knowing

1. /add adds the bot to your chat. Do this first.
2. /help opens help for all functions.
3. /generate shows the generation panel.
4. The panel command opens a menu for browsing the features.
5. /subscription manages your subscription.
6. /paysupport is for problems with a payment.

Subscription and payment

The bot has a subscription section and a separate payment support command. Check the terms, prices and what paid features include inside the bot before paying, since they can vary.

The user agreement and the offer are posted on the developers' site, and the bot profile points to them. Read them before taking a paid subscription.

Before adding it to a chat

The bot learns from members' messages, so anything written in the chat can end up in its lines. Talk it over with the members, especially if people share personal things there.

Do not add the bot to a work chat that carries confidential data. It is not built for that.

If the bot's lines bother someone, simply remove it from the chat. It is forgetful, so after removing and re-adding it starts from zero.

Getting better jokes

The more members write, the more interesting the lines get. Give the bot a couple of days to learn before judging it. If your chat is full of slang and memes, Sglypa will pick them up.

If a joke goes too far, remember the author of the line is not a person. Talk over the limits with friends and do not take everything seriously.
