About this App
You opened an interesting article but have no time to read it. You close the tab, and it is gone forever. Sound familiar? Longreader fixes this inside Telegram: forward a link to the bot, it saves the article and you read it later. 📚
No extra apps and no browser extensions. Everything you need is already in the messenger.
Forward it and forget it
The routine is simple. You see a link in a chat, a channel or a conversation with friends, forward the message to the bot, and the article is saved. Nothing else to do.
The bot pulls only the article text out of the page. Ads, pop-ups and sidebars are left behind. ✔️
A reader without noise
Saved articles open in the Mini App. It is a clean reading layout: text, a title and nothing distracting. It suits long pieces that need time and attention.
The bot remembers your progress. Close it halfway, open it in the evening, and you are back at the right place.
How to use it
- Tap Start and read the greeting.
- Find an article you want to keep.
- Forward the message with the link to the bot.
- Open the Mini App when you have time.
- Pick an article from the list and read.
The list keeps everything you sent, so you can return at any moment.
Why read-later tools help
Reading later separates finding material from reading it. In the first mode you gather interesting things fast, in the second you go through them calmly. That cuts the anxiety of "I must read everything now". 🧘
- Fewer tabs. Your browser stops being a junkyard.
- Clean text. No ads or pop-ups.
- Reading in parts. Progress is saved.
- One place for everything. No hunting for where the link was.
Things to keep in mind
Not every site gives up its text equally well. If a page sits behind a paid subscription or is built in an unusual way, the bot may extract less than you wanted. In such cases open the original.
Think about privacy too: by saving links you hand the bot a list of your interests. Do not send material you would not want others to see, and do not forward links with personal tokens in the address. 🔒
A habit that works
Pick one calm slot a week, such as Sunday morning, and go through what piled up. Whatever you did not read in a month can be deleted: it was not that important.
The project does have a feedback channel: the author asks you to message the bot if you have questions or suggestions. 💌
