About this App
The same story can read very differently depending on where you see it. One outlet is dry, another is shouting. Media X-Ray lets you see that gap inside Telegram without juggling a dozen tabs. 📰
The Mini App pulls stories from several sources into one feed and splits the text into two layers: emotion and facts.
Noise versus sediment
Noise is the emotional packaging: loaded adjectives, pressure, opinions presented as news. Sediment is what settles at the bottom once the noise is gone: the facts themselves.
So instead of reading a retelling with the author's mood attached, you see how much of a text is information and how much is push.
What is inside
- Story clusters. Coverage of one event from different sources sits together, so you can compare framing side by side.
- X-Ray. Scores a text on the noise against facts scale.
- Photo or link scan. If a story reaches you as a screenshot or a link, you can check it.
- Verify. Cross-checks a story across sources.
Open it from the menu button, or send /start.
What you get for free
The free plan gives you 3 X-Ray analyses and 1 Verify per day. That is a modest quota, but enough for a daily habit of double-checking the one headline that bothers you. ✅
Premium raises the limits and is paid with Telegram Stars. The /premium command shows the current terms.
Core features run without ads. You can optionally watch a rewarded ad to earn bonus X-Ray credits, and nobody forces you to.
Handy commands
- /news opens the news feed.
- /digest sends a digest.
- /recs lists the top stories right now.
- /check explains how to check a story in chat.
- /help lists the commands.
Reading the result without fooling yourself
The analysis is done by an AI model, so it can be wrong. Treat the score as a hint, not a verdict. 🔍
A high noise share does not make a story false. The event may be real and just told loudly. A dry text, on the other hand, is no guarantee of truth.
A better habit: look at the cluster first, find what repeats across every source, and treat that as the core of the story. The places where sources disagree deserve the closest look.
- Open the feed and pick a story that caught your eye.
- Run X-Ray and look at the balance of emotion and facts.
- If you still doubt it, run Verify to compare versions.
- Decide for yourself based on what holds up everywhere.
Who gets the most from it
People tired of clickbait who want to tell news from mood. Students and journalists who need a fast comparison of framing. Anyone who forwards headlines to family chats and would rather not spread extra noise. 🙂
The app does not replace primary sources or official statements. For decisions that matter, such as money or health, look for confirmation from the relevant organizations.
