GID Anti-Scam: check before you deal

Bot • Moderation & Anti-Spam

About this App

You're selling a gift, buying a channel or arranging a Stars swap, and the other side keeps rushing you to pay first. Before sending money to a stranger, check them. GID Anti-Scam matches a profile against a scammer database and tells you right away whether the person is blacklisted. 🛡️

The project calls itself the largest anti-scam service on Telegram and runs a separate channel with its scam database.

Four ways to check

  1. In a private chat. Send a username or numeric ID.
  2. In any chat. Type the bot's username followed by the username or ID, and it replies inline.
  3. Forward. Forward any message from the user to the bot.
  4. Pick a user. Tap Select user and choose a contact.

The answer comes back instantly: in the database or not.

Why checking by ID is better

Scammers often change usernames after a con, or pick one that copies someone else's with a single extra letter. The numeric account ID never changes. 🔢

When you can, forward a message or check by ID. It is more reliable than a name alone.

Reports and scam usernames

  • /report. File a report on a scammer with evidence.
  • /scam_username. A separate request when a scammer uses a specific username.
  • /garants. The list of escrow agents the project recommends.
  • /prime. A paid Prime subscription with extra features.
  • /ref. The referral program.

To file a report, keep the chat, screenshots of payments and the username plus ID. The more evidence, the better the chance moderators add the scammer.

What the database can't promise

A clean result means one thing: nobody has reported this person yet. New scammers and fresh accounts aren't in the database. ⚠️

So a check helps filter out known fraudsters but doesn't replace caution. The red flags stay the same: rushing, pressure, a deal that's too good, a request to move from a safe platform into DMs.

About escrow agents

Deals through an escrow agent, a third party who holds the money until both sides deliver, are common on Telegram. That lowers risk, but only if the agent is real. 🤝

  • Check the agent's username. Fake escrow accounts are one of the most common scams.
  • Look for independent reviews. Praise only in the project's own channels doesn't prove reliability.
  • Use safe platforms. For gifts and Stars, marketplaces with deal protection are safer.

When it comes in handy

Run a check before any deal with a stranger: buying or selling channels, swapping gifts or Stars, paying freelancers, buying second-hand. Following the project's channel about new scam schemes helps you learn about them before you run into one. 📢

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a GID Anti-Scam check cost?▼
Profile checks against the database work right after you start the bot. Extended features come with the paid Prime subscription, and /prime shows the terms.
How do I check someone inside a chat?▼
In any chat, type the bot's username followed by the username or ID. The bot replies right in the conversation with whether the person is blacklisted.
If someone isn't in the database, can I trust them?▼
Not necessarily. A clean result only means there are no reports yet. New scammers aren't listed, so still check the deal terms and avoid paying first.
How do I report a scammer?▼
Send /report with evidence: the chat, payment screenshots, the username and ID. If the scammer uses a specific username, also file a request via /scam_username.
