About this App
Everyone can budget in a spreadsheet, but almost nobody keeps it up past two weeks. Too many steps: open the file, find the row, pick a category. Cointry reduces tracking to one Telegram message: type "50 groceries" or "+3000 salary" and the entry is saved. 💶
The bot assigns a category, keeps your balance and sends a monthly spending analysis. About 1,700 people use it monthly, and the project has a website and a Product Hunt page.
What an entry looks like
- Expense: "50 groceries", "1200 taxi", "300 coffee".
- Income: with a plus, like "+3000 salary".
- Made a mistake: /delete removes the last entry.
- Review: /list shows history, /balance your balance, /stats statistics.
AI files each entry into the right category, and you can customize categories via /categories. 📊
Any currency
Cointry supports every currency and converts between them. Set your recording currency with /currency. Handy when traveling or when you earn in one currency and spend in another.
Shared budgets in group chats
Add the bot to a family chat or a chat with a business partner, and everyone logs entries in one place. 👫 You see who spent what, and the "where did the money go" arguments end.
Budgets and reports
- Set limits. /budget sets monthly budgets per category.
- Get insights. Each month the bot analyzes spending and sends a report.
- Export history. /export saves records to a file.
- Open the app. /open launches the mini app with visual stats.
Free or Premium
The free plan, with no time limit, covers the essentials: unlimited records, categories, chat members, auto-categorization, statistics and monthly reports. Premium adds full history control, editing or removing any record and exporting to CSV or Excel. The site lists it at $2.50 a month billed annually. Details via /subscription.
Sticking with it
- Log right away, at the checkout. One line takes five seconds.
- Keep categories broad. Ten big ones show the picture.
- Read the monthly report rather than fussing over every purchase. Trends matter.
- Start with one goal, like learning how much goes on eating out. 🎯
On privacy: Money records are personal data. Never put card numbers, passwords or ID details in entry notes, and remember that everyone in a shared chat sees the records.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants order in personal finances without complex apps, couples and families with a shared budget, and freelancers or small teams wanting simple tracking inside the messenger. /help and /support are there if you get stuck.
