A plate of pasta at a cafe, a homemade soup with a new recipe, a salad with ten ingredients: how many calories is that? Counting by hand is slow and dull. This bot takes over the chore: send a photo or a text description, and it records the calories. 🍝
The bot has English and Russian interfaces and runs right inside Telegram, so there is no separate app to install.
A photo or a few words instead of scales and tables
The principle is simple. You photograph the meal before eating or write what you had, and the bot estimates the calories and adds them to your daily log.
A photo estimate stays an estimate: a neural network cannot see how much oil went into the pan or what is inside a pie. That is fine as a general guide. For a strict diet, check the numbers and portions yourself.
- Photo. Works for finished dishes at a cafe or at home.
- Text. Handy when there is no photo or you want to specify the contents, such as "buckwheat 150 g and chicken breast".
- Stats. The /stats command shows your calorie history so you can see the picture day by day.
A one-minute questionnaire
When you launch it with /start, the bot asks for your sex, age, weight, height and activity level. It says this takes about a minute.
That information drives the personal recommendations. The bot itself says you can delete the data at any time. 🔒
Weight, height and age are still sensitive health details. Share only what you are comfortable with, and feel free to use rounded values.
What it costs
The bot is paid and works on a subscription, with payment through official Telegram Stars. You can set it up with the /subscribe command, which also opens extra features.
Check the exact prices in the bot before paying. If you choose a year upfront, the bot offers a 3-day trial: cancel the subscription if you dislike it and you get a full refund.
Getting real value out of it
- Fill in the questionnaire honestly. The recommendations then fit your real activity better.
- Photograph the whole dish. Sauce, sides and drinks affect the total too.
- Add details in text. If the contents are hidden in the photo, write them out.
- Look at the week, not one day. One inaccurate meal breaks nothing, and the trend matters more.
What to expect and what not to
Counting calories helps you understand your habits: where the extra hundreds of calories hide and what a typical day looks like. It is a tool for observation, not a doctor.
If you have diabetes, an eating disorder, are pregnant or have any condition where food affects your health, agree on a plan with a doctor or dietitian. A hard calorie deficit without supervision is risky. ⚠️
Photo estimates sometimes miss, especially for covered dishes such as casseroles and burgers. Compare the result once with a label or a food table and you will see how closely the bot matches your usual meals. 🙂
