You need to show a link on your phone screen, hand a guest the Wi-Fi password, or print a code on a flyer. Hunting for a website and pasting text into it feels like a lot of work for a tiny job. The qr bot makes a QR code image right inside Telegram.
Its profile is short: it creates QR code images inside Telegram. It keeps things simple 🙂
No /start, no long chat
The bot description has an unusual hint: skip the /start command and use inline mode instead. You do not have to open a separate conversation with it at all.
Inline mode works like this. In the message field of any chat, type the bot name, add a space, and write what you want encoded. Telegram shows the result in a pop-up strip, and you tap it to send.
- Open any chat. Saved Messages works well if the code is just for you.
- Type the bot name and a space. Then add your text or link.
- Pick the result. The QR image goes into the chat.
What fits inside the square
A QR code is a way to write a short string of text as a picture that a camera can read. Most people put a web address in it, but any string will do.
- A page link. Someone points a camera and lands on the site without typing the address.
- Plain text. A short note, an order number, a caption for an exhibit.
- Contact or connection details. Many phones understand special formats for Wi-Fi and contact cards, but test the result on your own device first.
The shorter the string, the simpler the pattern and the more reliably it scans on the first try. A long link produces a dense grid of tiny dots that is harder to photograph.
Two minutes of checking before you print
If the code is headed for paper or a screen in a room, do three quick things.
- Scan it yourself. Use two different phones if you can. A typo in the text shows up right away.
- Leave a margin. A clear light border around the code helps the camera find where it begins.
- Do not shrink the image too far. Heavy downsizing blurs the small squares and the code stops scanning.
Contrast matters as well. A dark pattern on a light background reads best.
Be careful with codes you did not make
Your own codes are safe to use. Other people's codes deserve a second look. Scammers stick their own QR stickers over real ones in parking lots, cafes and on posters to send people to a fake payment page. This trick is called quishing.
Before you open a link from a code, read the address your phone shows. If it differs from what you expected, or asks for card details, close the page.
What we know about this bot
It is a small bot with few active users, and its profile fits into one line. It does not promise menus, price plans or design settings, so expect what the profile says: a quick QR code from your text.
For that task it is enough. A small tool with no sign-up and no forms is handy precisely because it stays out of your way.
When another tool makes more sense
If you need a branded QR code with a logo, custom colors and click analytics, a simple chat generator will not replace a full editor. For one-off jobs such as an event link or a guest password, the bot fits well.
Dynamic codes, which can be redirected to a new address without reprinting, come from a different kind of service. A static code made by the bot cannot be edited after creation, so you would make a new one.
