About this App
Most calorie apps want a sign-up, a food database, a photo of your plate, and ten taps for a single muffin. CalorissimoBot takes the opposite route: you type how many calories you ate, and it is logged. The bot describes itself as no-bs calorie tracking, and the command list backs that up. 🍽️
One command instead of a food diary
The core is /log. You enter what you ate along with its calories, and the bot adds it to today's diary. Every entry gets an ID.
Made a typo? /unlog with the ID deletes the entry. To see everything you have eaten, send /query. With no argument you get today, and with a date in YYYY-MM-DD format you can open any past day.
Your own limit and your own reset time
The default daily target is 2000 kcal. If your goal is different, change it with /setdailycalories. There is no universal number: the right target depends on height, weight, age and activity, and for any serious goal it is worth discussing it with a doctor or dietitian.
There is also a fine-tuning option. /setresettime decides when the counter goes back to zero, entered in UTC using the 24-hour format. It helps if you eat dinner late and do not want a midnight snack to count toward the next day. 🌙
Weight, height, and BMI
Calories are only half the picture, so the bot also tracks weight. The commands:
- /updateweight saves your current weight in kilograms.
- /deleteweight removes a wrong entry.
- /queryweight shows statistics about your weigh-ins.
- /setweightgoal sets a target weight in kilograms.
- /setgender and /setheight feed the BMI calculation.
BMI is a rough estimate. It cannot tell muscle from fat, so treat it as a trend marker and not a diagnosis. 📈
A weekly look at your habits
/stats gives weekly calorie statistics. A single day can go off track and mean nothing, but seven-day averages show real habits: where you regularly overshoot and where you under-eat.
Watch the trend rather than single numbers. The trend shows if your plan works.
Tracking together in a group
The commands also work in group chats. You can start a shared chat with a partner or friends who are cutting weight together and log meals in front of each other. That mild public pressure sometimes holds a routine better than any reminder. 👥
If you prefer to keep your numbers private, just use the bot in a direct chat.
How to count honestly
You supply the calories yourself, so the accuracy is on you. A few habits help:
- Read the package label and scale it to your serving, not to a hundred grams.
- Weigh grains and oil. A spoonful of oil quietly adds around a hundred calories.
- Log right away. By evening you will have forgotten half of your snacks.
- Count drinks. Juice, sweet coffee and alcohol all carry calories.
Calorie counting is not for everyone. If it triggers anxiety, guilt about food, or obsessive thoughts, stop and talk to a specialist. ⚠️
