About this App
Few people stick with weighing food and checking tables. A week in, the food diary is abandoned. Calorigram cuts the routine to one step: snap your plate, send it to the chat, and a couple of seconds later AI estimates the calories and logs them. 🍽️
This is the test version of the Calorigram bot. It has the same features as the main product, but the team may try out updates here, so expect things to change now and then.
Three ways to log a meal
- Photo. A picture of your dish is analyzed in about 2 seconds.
- Voice. Say two eggs, buttered toast, coffee with milk, and the bot parses it. Use /addvoice.
- Text. Type the dish or a list of ingredients.
Voice and text help when the plate is already empty or when you want to give an exact weight.
Day one with Calorigram
- Send /start, then sign up with /register.
- Fill in /profile with height, weight and goal. Recommendations depend on it.
- Send a breakfast photo and check what the bot recognized.
- Turn on /reminders so you do not forget to log meals.
- In the evening, open the stats and review your day.
A photo is not a kitchen scale
It helps to know how photo counting works. AI identifies foods and estimates portion size from the image. That is an estimate, not a measurement, and the error can be noticeable. 📸
Hidden fats cause the biggest misses. A tablespoon of oil in a salad adds roughly 120 kcal and is nearly invisible in a picture. Same with sauces, sugar in tea and deep frying.
- Shoot from above in good light. Every component stays visible.
- Put a fork or your hand next to the plate. It gives a sense of scale.
- Add what the camera misses. Plus one tablespoon of oil sharpens the estimate.
- Describe mixed dishes in text. Stews and casseroles are the hardest to read from a photo.
A diary that pays off
The real value is the habit, not the precision of one meal. After a week of logging everything, you see where extra calories sneak in: evening snacks, sugary drinks, portions judged by eye. 📊
The bot's stats show daily totals, and recommendations point to what to adjust. To start fresh, use /reset.
Subscription and limits
Some features need a subscription. See /subscription for terms and /terms for the rules. Try the free part first to see if it fits your routine.
One more thing: the bot does not replace a doctor or dietitian. With diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy or eating disorders, a specialist should build your nutrition plan. ⚕️
