About this App
Can't message someone who isn't in your contacts? Telegram says you can only reply to people who wrote first? Your account most likely has a limit on it. Spam Info Bot is Telegram's own bot that tells you what is going on in a few seconds. 🔍
One command, one answer
Open the bot and send /start. That is the only command, and it checks the status of your account. You type nothing else because the bot already sees which account you are using.
The reply comes in two flavors. Either your account is clean and has no limits, or the bot says limits are active and explains what that means.
What actually gets restricted
Spam-related limits usually touch contact with strangers. You can still read channels, chat with your contacts and take part in groups you already joined.
- Private messages. You can't start a conversation with someone who isn't in your contacts.
- Invitations. You can't add people you don't know to groups or channels.
- Replies. You can still answer people who wrote to you first.
It is a mild and temporary measure. Your account isn't deleted, and your chats and contacts stay where they are.
Why it happened to you
Telegram fights spam automatically, and the system sometimes reacts to behavior rather than intent. Common triggers:
- lots of messages to strangers in a short time;
- mass invitations to groups and channels;
- reports against your messages from other users;
- sending identical texts to many people.
Now and then the limit lands on people who did nothing of the kind. For those cases the bot has an appeal route. 🤝
When you think it's a mistake
If a limit is active, the bot offers to send a complaint to moderators when you believe the restriction is unfair. Keep your message short and calm, with no insults or all caps.
Don't send several appeals in a row. That won't speed anything up, and repeats only get in the way.
Staying out of trouble
- Don't message strangers in batches. If you need reach, start a channel and invite people there.
- Don't add everyone you can. Invite only people who expect it.
- Watch for reports. If people complain about you often, the limit comes back.
- Skip shady growth tools. They often lead to bans and stolen accounts.
Watch out for fakes
Scammers like to pose as Telegram support and promise to lift a limit for money or for a login code from an SMS. The real bot asks for nothing and sells nothing. Never share your login code with anyone. 🛡️
Check that the bot carries the verification badge and that you reached it through an official Telegram source.
