About this App
You run a channel and your readers want to talk back. But comments in Telegram need a linked group, settings, and time. Comments Bot attacks it from the other side: you build a post with comments right in the bot and send it to your channel or group 💬
The bot's description is brief: it helps you create posts with comments and share them to your channels or groups. Everything begins with the /start command, which opens the creation of a new post.
Six commands in the menu
The menu is small, so you can learn it in five minutes.
- /start. Create a new post.
- /api. Get an API key to connect your own services.
- /ads. Open ad management.
- /feedback. Leave feedback for the team.
- /help. Information about the bot.
- /lang. Change the interface language.
Why a post needs a discussion
A post without comments is an announcement. A post with comments is a conversation: readers ask questions, argue, and share experience. That brings people back and shows you what they care about.
For channels with thousands of readers, feedback is free research. You see the reaction to a topic before view counts add up.
Publishing a post in a couple of minutes
- Open the bot and press /start.
- Write the post text and attach media if needed.
- Pick the channel or group to send the result to.
- Check the preview and publish.
- Look into the discussion a few hours later and answer the first commenters.
What to do with the API key
The /api command hands you a key for programmatic access. It helps if you want to link the bot to your own automation, for example to publish posts from a service.
- Treat the key like a password. Do not post it in chats or repositories.
- Do not hand it to strangers. Whoever holds the key acts in your name.
- If it leaks, get a new one. Replace the old key right away.
Moderation: a discussion needs an owner
Open comments attract spam and links to shady sites. If a channel has many readers, agree on rules and appoint moderators.
Pin the rules at the top of the discussion so newcomers see the boundaries 🛡
Ads and discussions
The menu has an /ads command for managing advertising. If you plan to place ads next to posts, think ahead about how readers will take them.
Frequent ad inserts quickly kill the urge to comment. One honest sponsored post a week beats five pushy ones.
Who will use it
Channel authors, community admins, and small teams that need to post quickly with a discussion attached. It is handy when you run several venues and want to publish the same material without extra steps.
If you do not want comments, the bot has nothing to offer: it exists for discussions.
