AnQuanbot: Order in Your Group

Bot • Moderation & Anti-Spam

About this App

A group of a hundred people already needs someone who removes spam, cools arguments and watches the rules. In the day the admins cope, but at night ad bots arrive. AnQuanbot takes the moderation routine on itself.

The bot description says it helps manage a group easily and safely. The name means security in Chinese, and the default interface is Chinese. How to work around that is below.

Connecting in three moves

Setup requires no programming.

  1. Add the bot to your group.
  2. Make it an administrator with the rights it needs: deleting messages and blocking members.
  3. Send the /settings command and switch on the features you want.

If administrator rights change, the /reload command updates the list. 🛠️

Moderator commands

The bot menu includes a set of commands for manual moderation.

  • /warn: give a member a warning.
  • /mute: forbid a member to write, and /unmute gives the voice back.
  • /ban: block an offender.
  • /delwarn: delete a message and issue a warning at once.
  • /info: view details about a member.

Warnings are good because an offender gets a chance to improve and the admin does not waste time arguing. ⚠️

How to change the language

The commands and menu are in Chinese, because the project targets a Chinese-speaking audience. For other users there is the /lang command: it switches the interface language. Pick a suitable option and check how messages look for members.

Before opening the bot to the whole group, test it in a trial group of two or three people. This avoids surprises.

Which rules to set

  1. Decide how many warnings lead to a mute and how many to a ban.
  2. Write the group rules and pin them.
  3. Decide what to do with links and ads from newcomers.
  4. Appoint several living moderators: the bot helps but does not replace people.

Clear rules reduce conflicts better than any automation. 📌

A good practice: tell members that a bot works in the group and explain what can earn a warning. People take punishment more calmly when the rule was known in advance and did not appear in the middle of a conflict.

Once a month review whom you punished and why. If the same mistakes repeat, extend the rules or pin a reminder.

What to consider about trust and data

A bot with admin rights sees the group's messages. Give such rights only to bots you trust, and limit them to exactly what is needed. Do not grant the right to appoint other admins unless the work requires it.

Periodically review the admin list and remove those no longer needed.

Who benefits from AnQuanbot

Owners and admins of groups, especially Chinese-speaking ones, who need quick moderation commands and a settings panel. For a small chat of friends that runs on trust, it may be unnecessary.

But if the group has hundreds of people and ad messages arrive, automation makes life much easier. 🤖

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect AnQuanbot to a group?▼
Add the bot to the group, make it an administrator with the rights to delete messages and block, then send /settings and switch on the features you need. If rights change, use /reload.

Yes, the /lang command switches the interface language. Check the result in a trial group before enabling the bot for all members.
