nmBot: moderation plus fun

Mini App • Moderation & Anti-Spam

About this App

Chat gone quiet, moderator burned out, spammers sneaking in again? nmBot from nmTeam handles both order and fun. Its slogan promises to boot chats with wonderful dramas, and you can add it to your group for free. 🎭

The bot launched in 2022. According to the developers, it had more than 14,000 active groups as of August 2024.

Moderator and entertainer in one

nmBot has two sides. The serious one covers group management, join verification and automatic spam cleanup. The playful one is interactive entertainment that gets people talking.

To turn on management, give the bot admin rights and open the settings menu with /config. After that it understands commands such as /ban and /pin.

Commands worth knowing

/id and /json show basic data and the raw object of a message.
/dc tells you which Telegram data center a user is on.
/quote formats a quoted message.
/ts and /te turn images or files into stickers and emoji.
/lp builds a link preview for a text message.
/sign and /mycredit give a daily check-in and show your points.
/mapping creates custom shortcuts for commands.
/lang switches the bot language.

A mood under every post

The oddest feature: the bot can reply to posts of a linked channel in a chosen tone. Tones include praise, sarcasm, enthusiasm and styles like a catgirl. It creates the feel of a lively discussion even in a quiet channel. 🐱

If you want to talk to the bot itself, /chat opens the nmBot Copilot AI assistant (beta).

Free or paid

Core functions are free. For people who need more, a paid plan called nmBot+ arrived in November 2024. It raises limits on keyword replies, scheduled tasks and daily reply counts. Payment goes through Telegram Stars.

In April 2025 the developers added nmBot Intelligence with a built-in assistant for group setup.

Setting it up in your group

Add the bot to the group and make it an admin.
Open /config and pick the functions you need.
Set up join verification and spam protection.
Enable the entertainment modules and watch how members react.

Start with a small set of functions. Less automation means fewer annoyed members. 👍

Do not overdo it

Playful scenes work where people came to chat. In work chats and strict professional groups, keep moderation only.

A bot does not replace a human admin. Watch what it deletes and revisit the settings every couple of weeks.
