Secret Santa Online in Telegram

Names in a hat, someone draws themselves, someone loses the slip. Secret Santa Online skips all that: the bot runs the draw and each participant learns their giftee right in Telegram. 🎅

The bot is free and has two modes: a gift swap with strangers, or a private room for your own group of any size. It works for an office party, a family holiday or online friends in different cities. The interface is in Russian.

Mode one: your own room

1. Start the bot with /start and complete a short intro.
2. Create a room for friends, coworkers or family.
3. Invite people with a link.
4. Run the draw. The bot pairs everyone and tells each person who to gift.
5. Prepare your gift and hand it over on the agreed day. 🎁

The bot handles the logistics, so the organizer does not have to chase people or check pairs by hand.

Mode two: a gift for a stranger

This is the unusual part. You become Santa for a random person, while another stranger prepares a gift for you. According to the project, gifts ship anonymously through a large marketplace, participants share interests and wishes, and several countries can take part.

It brings back real holiday surprise: you truly do not know who will send what. ✨

Choosing a good gift

• Read the wishes. If your giftee left some, that is the best hint.
• Stick to the budget. Agree on an amount upfront so nobody feels awkward.
• Safe bets: good tea or coffee, warm socks, a board game, a book, a cozy candle.
• Add a note. A few warm words make even a modest gift memorable.
• For a stranger, choose neutral items rather than perfume or sized clothing.

Safety when swapping with strangers

Exchanging gifts with people you do not know calls for care. ⚠️

• Do not post your home address in chats. Use a pickup point if possible.
• Never send money to strangers for a gift or shipping.
• Skip links from other users leading to outside payment sites.
• Keep extra personal details private: workplace, phone, document photos.

Set the rules early

Agree on an exact budget, a handover date and a format: in person, under the office tree or by delivery.
