About this App
Telegram's built-in polls are fine for a quick yes or no. When you need several choices, an attached file or results in a spreadsheet, they fall short. QuAn fills those gaps: it is a bot for advanced polls with a task scheduler on the side 📊
The bot's command list shows what it can do before you even start it.
A poll with extra settings
The main command, /newpoll, creates a poll. Descriptions of the bot say it supports multiple answers per voter, with the number either capped or unlimited. You can attach a file to a poll and get the results by email as a CSV.
That helps in group polls: a spreadsheet makes it easier to see who voted for what and to pass the outcome to people who are not in the chat.
What the command menu offers
- /newpoll creates a new poll.
- /showall lists all your polls so you can return to old ones.
- /plan opens the task scheduler.
- /patterns shows templates so you do not build a poll from scratch.
- /chatinfo returns the chat ID, title and type (handy for admins).
- /language switches the interface language, including English, Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Persian and Italian.
Building your first poll
- Send the bot /newpoll.
- Type your question. Keep it short, since Telegram limits question length.
- Add answer options one by one with the "Add variant" button.
- Set how many answers a person may pick and publish the poll in a chat or channel.
The bot also works inline: type its name in any chat and you can drop a poll right where the discussion is happening.
Scheduler and templates
The /plan command brings in planning: the bot can remind you about tasks at the right time. The details of its settings open inside the bot once you send the command.
Templates from /patterns save time if you run similar polls often: meeting feedback, picking a date, voting on an idea ⏰
How to write a poll people answer
A poll works when the question is clear in a second. A few practical rules:
- One question, one idea. Two questions in one produce noisy answers.
- Options must not overlap. If you offer "evening" and "after work", people get confused.
- Add "other" or "not sure yet", or someone will vote at random.
- Decide in advance whether voters should be visible. In small groups it encourages participation, in large ones it can pressure people.
Project status and pricing
The author also runs a newer constructor project that the bot's profile points to. QuAn remains a working poll tool, and it has a command for supporting the author. Nothing definite can be said about paid features, so go by what the bot itself shows you 💬
If you run a chat or channel and gather opinions regularly, try it on a small group before launching a big poll.
