LunarIQ: Anonymous Chat, 30+ Languages

Bot • Anonymous Chat

About this App

You want to practice English, but nobody you know is up for talking. Or you simply want to chat with someone who does not know you. LunarIQ does that in a couple of seconds: tap /search and the bot finds a partner. 🌙

Everything happens inside Telegram. Your name, phone number and photo are shown to nobody, so you can start without awkwardness.

A partner in seconds

The /search command starts matching. The bot connects you with someone who is also looking for a conversation, and the dialog begins right away.

According to the service, its algorithm tries to pair people who want a real talk and not those who answer in one word. No matching is perfect, so if the partner is a poor fit, you just search for the next one.

You write in Spanish, they read in English

The main feature of LunarIQ is automatic translation of messages. The service claims support for more than 30 languages. You write in yours, your partner reads in theirs.

For language practice this works twice over: you can write in English and test yourself, then switch to your own language when you get stuck. The translation is machine made, so jokes and slang may come out wrong.

When the talk goes quiet

The bot has an AI companion you can call in when the chat stalls. According to the service, it can act as a psychologist, a coach or a curious friend.

There is also a random question button that tosses in a topic. It helps when a hello and a how are you are followed by silence.

  • Voice messages. Voice is faster and livelier than text.
  • Video circles. If you want to show your face, that is your call.
  • Random question. A topic with one tap.

What anonymity does and does not mean

The bot asks for no phone number, name or avatar. That protects you from casual acquaintances and spam.

But anonymity runs both ways: you do not know who you are talking to either. Keep personal data out of such chats: address, workplace, documents, card details. A video circle is certainly optional. 🔒

Ground rules for a good chat

  1. Start with a simple question and real interest in the person.
  2. Do not send money or follow links from strangers.
  3. If the partner is rude or pushy, end the dialog.
  4. Do not share anything you would not tell a passer-by on the street.

Who it suits and who it does not

The service works for people who practice a language or want a conversation with no strings. If you want lasting friends, you will have to arrange the follow-up somewhere else yourself, which calls for a risk check.

Random chats with strangers are not recommended for children and teenagers. Parents should keep that in mind. 👨‍👩‍👧
