About this App
A group chat gets boring, and suddenly you need a demotivator poster, a text turned into a voice message, or a coin toss to decide who pays for the pizza. ZhekaBot is exactly that bundle of small joys in one bot, and it has a history: it moved to Telegram from another social network 😄
Pictures that spoil your mood (in a good way)
Most of the commands are about images. The bot makes demotivator posters and "quotes of great people", mirrors pictures, crushes them to low-quality "jpeg" look and turns them into gifs. There are stranger effects too: frame squeezing, a colorblindness simulator, a meme-advice maker.
- /dem makes a demotivator, /demcolor changes its color.
- /citgen creates "quotes of great people".
- /kek and /keklol mirror a picture in different directions.
- /jpeg and /retrojpeg degrade an image on purpose.
- /okak, /hsv, /casgif turn a photo into gifs.
- /cb shows how a colorblind person sees a picture.
Voice, music and sound effects
The bot also works with audio. The /say, /tanya and /maks commands turn text into a voice message in different voices. /bass and /earrape boost a track or voice note, so lower the volume first 🔊
If you are tired of listening to voice notes, switch on /voice2text and the bot converts them to text. The /music command sends music.
Small things that rescue conversations
In a group it is handy that the bot settles small arguments for you:
- /coin flips a coin and /rand gives a random number.
- /info computes the "probability of something" and /when names a "date of something". It is a joke, not a forecast.
- /antimat switches on a profanity filter.
- /2048 launches the popular puzzle.
Weather, rates and an encyclopedia in one window
Useful commands exist as well. /weather shows the weather, /currency shows rates for ordinary and crypto currencies, /time gives the current time in any city and /wiki searches the Russian-language encyclopedia. /weather_sub sets up a daily mailing of weather and rates.
It is nice in a family chat: every morning everyone gets the same summary ☀️
How to call the bot in a chat
Open /help for a short reference, and /about tells you about the project. In groups the bot reacts to commands and to being mentioned by name. It does not answer unknown commands, so a typo simply gets no reply.
Add the bot to a conversation, give it permission to write and try a couple of commands to get acquainted.
Alive, but not eternal
The author runs a separate channel about the bot and reports outages there: servers were changed because of load and blocking. If the bot is silent, check the channel instead of removing it from the chat right away 🛠️
And remember privacy: do not send the bot documents, private conversations or photos you would not show strangers.
