DocSign: Sign PDFs in Telegram

Mini App • Handy Tools

About this App

A contract lands in your chat as a PDF and it needs to come back signed. The printer and scanner are at the office, and you are on the train. DocSign handles that inside Telegram: open the file, sign it, send it on. ✍️

It is a mini app for signing documents. There is no separate program to install, and everything happens in the chat.

What you can do in a couple of minutes

The path from upload to a finished file is short. The app offers these steps:

  1. Upload a document. A PDF or an image works.
  2. Create a signature. Draw it with a finger or a stylus.
  3. Place it on the page. Choose the PDF page and the spot for the signature.
  4. Notarize on the blockchain. Optionally, the document is recorded on the TON network.
  5. Download and share. Send the finished file to the other party.

Why a blockchain is involved

Blockchain notarization works like a timestamp that cannot be forged after the fact. Usually the network stores not the file itself but its digital fingerprint (a hash). Change even a comma in the document later and the fingerprint no longer matches. 🔐

This helps when you need to prove that a document in exactly this form existed on a certain date. Recording on TON, like on other networks, normally involves a small transaction fee.

What the signature means legally

Do not get carried away here. A drawn signature on a PDF is a simple electronic signature in the broadest sense. Whether it is accepted depends on the recipient and the law of your country.

For everyday matters (consent forms, acceptance acts, an informal receipt, confirming an order) it is often enough. For real estate deals, government services and documents where the law demands a specific type of signature, you need a qualified electronic signature or an in-person notary. A blockchain stamp does not replace those.

Make the signature look right

Before placing the signature on the page, spend half a minute on how it looks. A large, smooth stroke on a light background reads better than a small shaky one, especially if the document gets printed later.

If it came out badly, draw it again instead of keeping it. It should resemble the one in your passport and your other documents. ✅

A short checklist before signing

  • Read the whole document. A fast signature is no reason to skip the terms.
  • Check the pages. The signature should sit where the document format expects it.
  • Keep a copy. Save both the original and the signed file yourself.
  • Ask the recipient. Find out before sending if they will accept this kind of signature.

Who will find it useful

Freelancers who must sign an acceptance act quickly, landlords and tenants with a simple receipt, students with an application, and anyone who often gets documents right in a messenger. 📄

Do not send passports, bank details or confidential contracts through any online app unless you know how files are stored. Before signing something important, check where the service keeps your documents and for how long.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which files can I sign in DocSign?▼
The app takes PDFs and images. You create a signature in the mini app, place it on the right page of the PDF and download the finished file.
Does this signature have legal force?▼
It depends on the document and the country. A drawn signature is usually treated as a simple electronic signature, and you should ask the recipient in advance if they accept it. For deals where the law requires a qualified signature or a notary, it is not enough.
What does notarization on the TON blockchain give me?▼
It records that a document in a specific form existed on a certain date and protects against back-dated forgery. It is a record of a fact, not a replacement for a notary. A blockchain operation can require a small fee.
Is it safe to upload contracts?▼
Uploading any file to an online service carries a leak risk. Do not send passports, bank details or confidential contracts unless you know how and for how long the service stores files. For important papers, choose proven signing methods.
