Talery: custom bedtime stories

Mini App • Books & Audiobooks

About this App

Your child asks for a story about a dinosaur astronaut, and you ran out of ideas half an hour ago. Talery takes over: a neural network writes a story for your request and reads it aloud. 🌙

In its Russian-language version the app is called Skazoshnaya. It is a mini app inside Telegram, so there is nothing separate to install.

A story starring your kid and their stuffed rabbit

Instead of a ready-made book, you assemble the plot yourself. The app description lists the parameters you can set.

  • Genre: adventure, fairy tale and others.
  • Favorite characters: toys, cartoon heroes, pets.
  • Moral lesson: for example courage, friendship or sharing.
  • Extra details: anything you want woven into the tale.

Audio for when their eyes are closing

Every story comes with an audio version. Play it while the child lies in bed, so nobody reads from a screen. 🎧

If you prefer reading aloud, the text is there too. Keep a calm pace and a quiet voice, and turn the screen brightness down.

Three commands to get around

  • /app opens the application.
  • /support contacts technical support.
  • /faq shows the help section.

Building tonight's story

  1. Open the app with /app.
  2. Pick a genre your child likes right now.
  3. Add the hero's name and favorite toys.
  4. State what the moral should be.
  5. Start the narration and dim the lights.

Ritual matters more than plot

Pediatric advice often boils down to keeping the evening story a steady habit: same time, same light, same spot. A child falls asleep faster when the story reliably leads to bed.

Aim for short tales of five to ten minutes. A long chase plot excites, while a calm story about a night forest or a sleepy cloud sets the mood for rest.

  • Toddlers: simple repeating phrases and kind characters.
  • Preschoolers: a small mystery or adventure with a gentle ending.
  • School age: a longer plot and a moral to discuss in the morning.

Let the child take part: ask who the hero is and where they go. It makes the story feel like theirs. ✨

What a parent should keep in mind

A neural network writes the text, so read the plot yourself before sharing it, especially with kids under six. Generated stories can take odd turns or include scenes that are too dark.

If your child falls asleep to audio, set a timer on the phone and keep the volume low. A story also does not replace talking: retell it yourself and discuss the moral. 📖

Avoid putting a surname, address or other personal details of your child into prompts. Use an invented hero name or a first name only.
