Bastion Siege: castle, alliance, siege

Long before flashy mini apps, Telegram had games that kept players hooked for years using nothing but text and buttons. Bastion Siege is one of them: a multiplayer strategy about the harsh Middle Ages where you build a castle, run the economy and fight living neighbors for territory. ⚔️

The developer first introduced the game about a decade ago. Today's bot is the second version after a relaunch, since the first ran for four years.

The economy: it all goes through the warehouse

In Bastion Siege, producing resources isn't enough. They must reach the warehouse. Food, wood and stone only get stored when workers carry them, and only then go into buildings and feeding residents. 🏰

• Farm and warehouse. You need at least as many warehouse workers as the farm produces, or food goes to waste.
• Residents. They can't eat more than has been delivered.
• Building materials. Wood and stone also go to the warehouse before you upgrade buildings.

That balance separates capable rulers from those whose castle starves mid-war.

War and alliances

The main goal, according to the developer, is fighting other players for territory. Going it alone is tough, so allies matter. 🛡️

• Battles. /battle takes you to the current fight.
• Alliance. /joinalliance applies by tag, /leavealliance lets you go.
• Alliance chat. /chat for coordinating with allies.
• Vacation. Vacation mode protects your castle while you're away, and /cancelvacation ends it.

Hunting, crystals and gear

• Crystals. /dig sends you mining for crystals, and /purse shows your stash.
• Hunting. /hunt for loot from the hunt.
• Gear. Quick swaps for pet, mask and weapon: /pet, /mask, /weapon.
• Effects and inventory. /effects and /inventory show what is active and what you own.
• Quests. /quests lists your tasks.

Getting started

1. Launch. Tap Open and go to the main screen with /home.
2. Economy. Get the farm and warehouse working before thinking about war.
3. Help. /help explains the core mechanics.
4. Alliance. Find allies, since joining one makes life much easier for a newcomer.
5. Quests. Complete tasks, which hint at what to do next.

Who it's for

Bastion Siege suits fans of slow-burn strategy with long-term growth and alliance politics. There are no graphics, only text and buttons, but plenty of planning and intrigue between players. A few short visits a day are enough. 🕰️

The community is small, around seven hundred monthly players, so rivals quickly become familiar faces and alliances turn into close-knit groups.
