ZkCUP: call the score, climb the board

Every fan has said I knew it would be 2-1 at least once. ZkCUP turns those hunches into a game: you predict exact scores, earn points for correct calls and compete with others on a shared leaderboard. ⚽

How the game works

• BALL ⚽. The in-game currency you spend to enter predictions and upgrade boosts.
• Prediction. You call the exact score, and naming the winner isn't enough.
• Boost. Before each pick you choose a boost that affects the reward.
• CUP 🏆. Points for correct picks, which drive the leaderboard.
• Referrals. 10% of invited friends' rewards once they qualify.

Why exact scores are so hard

Picking a winner is fairly easy, with only three outcomes. Exact scores are another story: there are dozens of possible results, and even the most common scoreline shows up in only a small share of matches. 📊

So a correct exact-score call is always an event, and a streak of them is close to a miracle. That is what makes the game exciting, since every hit feels like a small victory.

For comparison, a random guess at the winner succeeds about a third of the time, while a random exact score hits only a few percent of the time.

Predicting smart

1. Check form. How each team did in its last five games, goals for and against.
2. Home advantage. Home teams score more on average.
3. Line-ups. Injuries to key attackers change everything.
4. Typical scores. The most common football results are 1-0, 1-1 and 2-1, while lopsided wins are rarer.
5. Don't pick with your heart. Emotions cloud a clear-headed forecast.

Boosts and strategy

A boost earns more CUP for a correct pick. It makes sense to use strong boosts on matches you are most confident about and skip boosts on unpredictable games. 🚀

Watch your BALL balance. Spend it all early in a round and you may have none left for the interesting matches at the end.

Leaderboard and friends

The CUP leaderboard shows who reads football best. Competing with friends is more fun, and invites earn you 10% of their rewards. Invite people who love football, and the game stays lively. 🤝

Where it meets gambling

While picks use in-game currency, this is entertainment for fans. If BALL ever becomes purchasable with real money, the game moves closer to betting. ⚠️

• Don't overspend. Only use what you can afford to lose.
• Don't chase losses. A bad round doesn't raise your odds next time.
• Age. Sports prediction games aren't for kids.
