Voicestickers Bot: Send Sound Clips

Bot • Fun & Entertainment

About this App

A friend drops a funny voice line in your chat and you want to answer in kind, but where do you find the right clip? Voicestickers Bot keeps a library of short voice messages that you send to chats like stickers. 🔊

Sound does the job where words fall short: a laugh, an outburst, a meme, a quote everyone recognizes.

What the bot offers

The bot works with tagged voice messages taken from a channel of the same name. Tagging means each clip has keywords, so you can search for it.

Press /start and the bot invites you to search for a voice clip. Inline mode works too: in any chat type the bot name plus a search word, pick a clip, and it goes to the other person.

Commands worth knowing

  • /all lists every clip and lets you manage their search tags.
  • /authors shows who made the clips.
  • /my shows your own voice stickers.
  • /favs opens your favorites, so the best ones stay close.
  • /offer lets you suggest a clip of your own.
  • /help gives detailed help, and /cancel cancels the current action.

If you use the bot often, build your favorites first. A good phrase then takes seconds to find.

Sending a clip step by step

  1. Open a chat with a person or a group.
  2. Call the bot inline: type its name and a space.
  3. Add a search word, such as an emotion or part of a quote.
  4. Tap a clip in the list and it is sent.

No switching windows and no forwarding messages by hand. 🙂

Adding your own sound

The /offer command is for suggesting your own clip. The channel editors review submissions, which is handy if you have a good recording worth adding.

Think about rights first. Other people's voices and movie fragments should not be submitted without permission, and private conversations should never be sent without the consent of everyone in them.

When a voice clip beats text

Text is bad at tone. A plain "fine, whatever" can sound hurt, cheerful or sarcastic, and only a voice settles it.

Voice stickers also save time. You do not have to type a long message or record your own, because a ready line already carries the mood. They fit friend chats where the group has its own memes and quotes.

Do not overuse them, though. In work chats, family chats and places where people listen on the go with headphones, a regular message is more polite.

How tagging works

Each clip has tags: keywords about its meaning, emotion or the source of the phrase. Search runs on them, so keep queries short. One word usually returns more results than a whole sentence.

If the first word finds nothing, try a synonym or the name of an emotion.

Things to keep in mind

Some clips in the collection may contain profanity. If you use the bot in work chats or around kids, choose clips with the audience in mind.

Loud, sharp sounds irritate people in a quiet chat. Short clips used sparingly work best: one well-aimed phrase beats ten.

Voice stickers are heard only with sound on, so in muted chats the joke may be lost. 🔇
