VK X Helper: Companion for VK X

Bot • Music

About this App

If you listen to VKontakte music through VK X, the app has a small companion in Telegram. The bot is not a player or a downloader. Its job is a greeting, VK X+ purchase and an entry point to the project's ecosystem. 🎧

Without VK X itself the bot is nearly useless, so let us start with the app.

What VK X is

VK X is an unofficial music player for the VKontakte audio service. The project has run since October 2018, and the developer's channel has around 127 thousand subscribers. The app has no connection to the company VK.

The author stresses that VK X is a client, not a music service. What playlists and features exist in the catalog is decided by VK itself, and the player only shows them in its own way.

What the bot does

/start. A welcome message with explanations.
/purchase. Buying VK X+, the paid subscription inside the app.

The bot has no other commands. Everything else, from account login to settings, happens inside VK X.

Logging in to VK X with a QR code

The project's FAQ describes a login that skips typing a password in the app:

Open the desktop version of the VKontakte site.
Click your avatar and choose the QR code login.
In VK X press the QR login button and scan the code.
Confirm the login on the site.

The confirmation on the site makes sure you allowed access yourself. ✅

About VK X+

VK X+ is a way to support the developer and get extra features. If an activation code shows a network error, the author says the activation still went through: restart the app and check your status.

New mixes work without VK X+ starting with version 8.14. See the subscription terms with /purchase, as we name no price here.

Where trouble can start

Unofficial clients get access to your account. That is always a risk: platform rules may forbid such apps, and fakes can be dangerous. The developer has warned about a modified build that carries a stealer taking your token, login and password. ⚠️

Take the app only from the official channel. The pinned message there points to the current version.
Avoid mods. Third-party builds with extras may steal data.
Turn on two-factor protection on your main account and do not reuse the password elsewhere.

Who it suits

People who already use VK X and want to buy the subscription or ask a project question. If you use the official app, you do not need the bot. For app help, look in the project's FAQ.
